These Terms of Service ("Terms") apply to all apps published by Calimax Institute under the Calimax Group on Google Play Store and the Calimax App Store. By downloading, installing, or using any of our apps, you agree to these Terms.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By using any Calimax app, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you and Calimax Institute.
2. App-Specific Terms
Each Calimax app serves a specific purpose. Below are app-specific important notes:
This app provides tools for GST-compliant invoicing and billing. Users are solely responsible for ensuring GST rates, HSN/SAC codes, and invoice formats comply with current Indian tax regulations. Invoice data and calculations should be verified with a qualified tax professional. The app is not a substitute for professional accounting or legal advice.
AquaBell provides general wellness support and hydration tracking. It is NOT medical advice. Hydration needs vary by person based on health conditions, climate, physical activity, medication, pregnancy, and medical guidance. The AI voice feature uses your device's Text-to-Speech engine. Always follow advice from a qualified healthcare professional regarding your water intake and health.
This app is a billing tool for clinics and is not a medical device or diagnostic tool. Patient data entry, billing accuracy, and compliance with medical record regulations (including HIPAA where applicable) are the user's responsibility. The app does not provide medical advice or diagnosis.
Users are responsible for including jurisdiction-appropriate invoice elements (tax IDs, currency, legal disclaimers). The app provides templates and tools but does not guarantee compliance with any specific country's invoicing regulations.
Users are responsible for the accuracy of inventory counts, valuations, and reorder thresholds. The app is a management tool and does not replace professional inventory auditing or accounting systems.
This app is a personal study aid. It does not guarantee academic improvement or grade accuracy. Users are responsible for verifying grades, attendance records, and schedules with their educational institution.
Users are responsible for the legality of documents they process. Password-protected PDFs should still be treated with caution. The app processes files locally on-device.
Somanu is a productivity assistant. It does not provide legal, financial, or professional advice. Users are responsible for the accuracy of information managed through the app.
This app is a personal finance organizer. It does not provide financial advice, tax filing support, or professional accounting. Budget recommendations are informational only.
Users should exercise caution when scanning unknown QR codes or barcodes. The app does not verify the safety or authenticity of scanned content or linked URLs.
OCR accuracy may vary based on document quality, lighting, and text clarity. Users should verify extracted text before use in legal or official documents. Scanned copies may not meet all legal requirements for certified document copies.
Users are responsible for the accuracy of contact information displayed on generated business cards. The app provides design tools but does not verify business credentials or claims.
3. User Responsibilities
As a user of our apps, you agree to:
- Use the apps only for their intended purposes
- Not use the apps for any illegal, fraudulent, or unauthorized activity
- Ensure data you enter is accurate and lawful
- Not reverse-engineer, modify, or distribute the apps without permission
- Comply with all applicable local, state, national, and international laws
- Maintain your own backups of important data
4. App Availability
Our apps are distributed through Google Play Store and the Calimax App Store website. While we strive to keep all apps available and functional, we:
- Do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation
- May update, modify, or discontinue features without prior notice
- Are not responsible for compatibility issues arising from device updates
- Provide apps "as is" without warranty of any kind
5. Free vs. Paid Features
The current Calimax apps are provided free of charge. In the future, some apps may offer optional premium features, subscriptions, or one-time purchases. Any paid features will be clearly indicated within the app and on the Play Store listing with separate terms where applicable.
6. Intellectual Property
All Calimax apps, including their names, logos, designs, code, and content, are the intellectual property of Calimax Institute (Calimax Group). You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works of our apps without our written permission.
App names: Calimax, AquaBell, MediMax, and Somanu are trademarks of Calimax Group.
7. Third-Party Services
Our apps may integrate with or link to third-party services including:
- Google Play Services
- Google Drive (for backups)
- Google AdMob (for advertising in select apps)
- Android Text-to-Speech engine (for voice features)
- Email, WhatsApp, and other sharing apps
- PDF viewers and printer services
Third-party services are governed by their own terms and policies. We are not responsible for their content, availability, or data practices.
8. Health & Medical Disclaimer
Apps in the health or wellness category (AquaBell Water Intake, MediMax Billing) are not medical devices and do not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical concerns, hydration needs, or health-related decisions. Information provided by our apps is for general informational purposes only.
9. Financial & Tax Disclaimer
Apps in the business or financial category (Calimax GST Billing, Calimax Invoice Maker, Calimax Expense Tracker, Calimax Inventory Pro) provide tools for billing, documentation, and organization. They do not provide tax, accounting, or legal advice. Users should verify tax, GST, invoice, and financial compliance requirements with a qualified professional.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Calimax Institute and its developers shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from:
- Use or inability to use any Calimax app
- Data loss or corruption (use the backup features provided)
- Incorrect invoices, tax filings, or financial documents
- Missed reminders or notifications (always set multiple reminders)
- Business losses or interrupted operations
- Health-related outcomes from using wellness features
- Unauthorized access to your device or data
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Calimax Institute, its developers, affiliates, and partners from any claims, damages, liabilities, or expenses arising from your use of our apps, violation of these Terms, or infringement of third-party rights.
12. Termination
We reserve the right to terminate or suspend access to any app or service at our discretion, without prior notice, for conduct that violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties. You may terminate your use at any time by uninstalling the app.
13. Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. Changes become effective when posted on this page. The "Last updated" date will reflect the most recent changes. Continued use of our apps after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of our apps shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in India.
